The 2025 Formula 1 Austrian Grand Prix turned into a celebration for McLaren, as Lando Norris converted pole position into a commanding win, holding off teammate Oscar Piastri in a dramatic team battle at the Red Bull Ring.

In a thrilling opening phase, the two McLaren drivers went wheel-to-wheel for the lead. Piastri briefly passed Norris, but the Briton struck back almost immediately with a decisive counter-move.

The tension returned in the final laps, as Piastri closed the gap to just under three seconds, but Norris kept his cool under pressure and crossed the line first — securing a vital win in his title challenge.

Ferrari Fightback, Mercedes Mayhem

Charles Leclerc took third for Ferrari, followed by teammate Lewis Hamilton, who continues his strong form in red. George Russell came home fifth in a damage-limiting drive for Mercedes, but the spotlight fell on his teammate Kimi Antonelli, who crashed out on the opening lap and took Max Verstappen with him. A nightmare weekend for Red Bull Racing at their home circuit.

Standout Performances from Lawson and Sauber

Liam Lawson impressed once again in the Racing Bulls, securing sixth place. There were more smiles at Sauber, with both drivers finishing in the points — Gabriel Bortoleto in P8 and veteran Nico Hülkenberg in P9.
