Isak Informs Newcastle United of Desire to Leave
Alexander Isak has officially informed Newcastle United of his intention to leave the club ahead of the new season.
The 24-year-old Swedish striker, who was one of the standout performers in the Premier League last season, has expressed his desire to explore new opportunities, prompting the Magpies to consider potential exit strategies.
Liverpool remain in the hunt for Isak, despite the recent arrival of Hugo Ekitike. However, the Merseyside club’s pursuit of the Newcastle forward hinges heavily on whether they can complete the sale of Luis Díaz this summer.
Without offloading the Colombian winger, the newly crowned Premier League champions may not have the financial flexibility required to bring in Isak, whose valuation is expected to be north of £80 million.
Meanwhile, Saudi giants Al Hilal have emerged as the frontrunners for Isak’s signature. The Pro League side are reportedly ready to meet Newcastle’s asking price, but the player himself is taking time before making a final decision and has yet to prioritise any particular offer.
