Zorya Luhansk have confirmed the heartbreaking news that first-team player Volodymyr Bilotserkovets has passed away at the age of 25.

The Ukrainian Premier League club released an official statement expressing deep sorrow over the sudden death of the midfielder, who was regarded as a valued member of the squad both on and off the pitch.

"Today, at the age of 25, the life of Zorya midfielder Volodymyr Bilotserkovets has come to a tragic end," the statement read.

"Zorya Football Club extends its sincere condolences to the player's family, loved ones, and friends. We will always remember Volodymyr as a true professional and a kind, compassionate person."

The cause of death has not been publicly disclosed at this time.
