Rennes - Marseille 1:0

Olympique de Marseille suffered a disappointing start to their Ligue 1 campaign, falling 1–0 away to Stade Rennais — despite the hosts playing with 10 men for over an hour.

Rennes were reduced to 10 men in the 31st minute when Aït-Boudlal was shown a straight red card. But in a dramatic twist, they held off consistent pressure from Roberto De Zerbi's Marseille side and struck late to claim all three points.

Last-Minute Heartbreak

The breakthrough came deep into stoppage time, as Ludovic Blas capitalised on a lapse in Marseille’s defence and fired home the winner in the 90+1st minute. The goal sent Roazhon Park into celebration and sealed a hard-fought, morale-boosting opening win for Rennes.
