Lens - Lyon 0:1

Olympique Lyonnais made a confident start to the new Ligue 1 season, securing a hard-fought 1-0 victory away to RC Lens.

Under new head coach Paulo Fonseca, Lyon looked disciplined and efficient, despite facing a strong Lens side on their home turf. The decisive moment came in the 67th minute when Georgian international Georges Mikautadze found the back of the net, expertly finishing off a well-timed cross from a teammate.

Lens attempted to mount a response, pushing forward in search of an equaliser, but Lyon's backline held firm. A composed performance from the defence, combined with a solid display from the goalkeeper, ensured the visitors left with all three points.
