Gianluigi Donnarumma Bids Emotional Farewell to PSG Fans
Despite not being included in the matchday squad for Paris Saint-Germain’s final home game against Angers, Gianluigi Donnarumma still took center stage at the Parc des Princes. After the final whistle, the Italian goalkeeper walked onto the pitch, made his way to the stands, and delivered a heartfelt goodbye – applauding and bowing to the PSG faithful who had supported him throughout his time in the French capital.
Contract Talks Collapse – Donnarumma Set to Leave Paris
The 25-year-old shot-stopper has been in discussions with the club over a possible contract extension this summer. However, negotiations quickly stalled due to significant differences over salary expectations. With no agreement in sight, PSG turned to the future – completing the signing of highly-rated young goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier from Lille.
Following the arrival of Chevalier, Donnarumma publicly confirmed his intention to leave the club. According to multiple sources, the Euro 2020 winner is now close to completing a move to Manchester City, where he is expected to compete for the No.1 shirt under Pep Guardiola.
