Everton - Brighton 2:0

Everton FC officially opened a new chapter in their long Premier League journey, celebrating the debut of their stunning new home — the Hill Dickinson Stadium — with a confident 2–0 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion.

The match, part of the second round of the Premier League season, marked the first time the Toffees hosted a competitive fixture at their new 53,000-seat stadium, now the 62nd ground to feature in the league’s history. And the atmosphere did not disappoint — neither did the result.

Iliman Ndiaye opened the scoring midway through the first half, sending the home crowd into raptures. Just minutes into the second half, James Garner doubled the lead, sealing a momentous day for Sean Dyche's side.
