Arsenal Star Bukayo Saka Ruled Out for a Month with Hamstring Injury
Arsenal have been dealt a significant blow ahead of their clash with Liverpool, as star winger Bukayo Saka has been ruled out for at least four weeks with a hamstring injury, according to BBC Sport.
The 23-year-old England international sustained the injury during Saturday’s home victory over Leeds United. As a result, Saka will miss Sunday’s crunch Premier League showdown at Anfield, as well as England’s upcoming World Cup 2026 qualifying matches against Andorra and Serbia next month.
There is further concern for the Gunners, with club captain Martin Ødegaard also a doubt for the Liverpool game due to a shoulder issue. The Norwegian playmaker is currently undergoing assessment and could face a late fitness test ahead of the trip to Merseyside.
Despite the setbacks, the mood at Arsenal remains cautiously optimistic. Club sources say neither injury is considered long-term, and the medical staff are hopeful of a swift return for both players. The update comes as a particular relief regarding Saka, who missed nearly three months of last season due to a recurring hamstring problem.
