Newcastle - Liverpool 2:3

Liverpool snatched a dramatic 3–2 victory over a spirited Newcastle United side at St James’ Park, with youngster Rio Ngumoha scoring a stoppage-time winner to break Geordie hearts and secure all three points for the defending Premier League champions.

It was a chaotic and emotional evening on Tyneside. Ryan Gravenberch opened the scoring for Liverpool with a long-range strike in the 35th minute, silencing the home crowd. Moments before the break, Newcastle were dealt a major blow when forward Anthony Gordon was shown a red card following a VAR review, leaving the hosts down to 10 men.

Hugo Ekitike doubled Liverpool's lead early in the second half, and it seemed like game over—but the Magpies had other ideas. First, young striker William Osula pulled one back with a smart finish. Then, in the 83rd minute, captain Bruno Guimarães sent the stadium into a frenzy with a thunderous strike to make it 2–2.

Newcastle were on the verge of completing one of the most memorable comebacks in recent Premier League history, but in the dying seconds of added time, 18-year-old Rio Ngumoha latched onto a loose ball and fired past the keeper—securing a gut-wrenching win for Liverpool.
