Marcus Rashford Returns to England Squad - No Place for Trent Alexander-Arnold
England manager Thomas Tuchel has announced a 24-man squad for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Andorra and Serbia, scheduled for September international duty.
The most notable inclusion is the return of Marcus Rashford, currently on loan at Barcelona from Manchester United. With Bukayo Saka sidelined due to a hamstring injury, Rashford’s recall is seen as a key attacking reinforcement.
One of the surprises in Tuchel’s selection is the first senior call-up for Elliot Anderson, the dynamic midfielder from Nottingham Forest. The 21-year-old impressed this summer as part of England's U21 squad that won the UEFA European Under-21 Championship.
However, there’s no place for Trent Alexander-Arnold. The former Liverpool full-back, now with Real Madrid, has reportedly struggled to regain full match fitness and sharpness since his move to the Spanish capital.
