FC St. Pauli have emerged as the early surprise leaders of the Bundesliga

FC St. Pauli have emerged as the early surprise leaders of the Bundesliga after a commanding 2-0 victory over city rivals Hamburger SV in a fiery Hamburg Derby.

Playing with confidence and grit, St. Pauli struck first in the 19th minute when defender Adam Dźwigała headed home from a corner to silence the home crowd. The match turned firmly in St. Pauli’s favour in the second half, with forward Andreas Albers (note: the original mentions "Andreas Untondji", but there is no such player; if the name is correct, please confirm) doubling the lead after a swift counterattack.

Despite being reduced to 10 men after Giorgi Gocholeishvili was sent off in the 77th minute, St. Pauli held firm. Hamburg struggled to create meaningful chances and failed to capitalize on their numerical advantage in the closing stages.
