Ousmane Dembélé Doubtful for France vs Ukraine Clash
Paris Saint-Germain and France forward Ousmane Dembélé may miss the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifying match against Ukraine, scheduled for September 5 in Wrocław.
The electrifying winger arrived at the French national team’s training camp nursing a bruise sustained during Ligue 1 action against Toulouse. Dembélé was forced off the pitch during that match after a heavy challenge and could not complete the game.
His absence was noticeable during France’s latest training session, where the Ballon d'Or 2025 hopeful remained sidelined, undergoing individual recovery work with the medical team instead of training with the main squad.
Sources close to the French camp suggest that the medical staff is unwilling to take unnecessary risks with Dembélé, particularly at this early stage of the season. His fitness will be reassessed closer to kickoff, but as things stand, he’s unlikely to feature.
