Juventus' Kenan Yildiz Named Serie A Player of the Month for August
Kenan Yildiz, the 20-year-old winger from Juventus and rising star of the Turkish national team, has kicked off the new Serie A season in sensational form — and the recognition has come swiftly.
After registering two assists in his first two league appearances, Yildiz was voted Serie A Player of the Month for August via EA Sports' fan platform, edging out some stiff competition. Among those left behind were Thomas Kristensen (Udinese), Scott McTominay (Napoli), Nico Paz (Como), Matías Soulé (Roma), and Marcus Thuram (Inter Milan).
Yildiz will be officially presented with the award ahead of the blockbuster Matchday 3 clash between Juventus and Inter Milan — a fixture that could already have early-season title implications.
Though a product of the German football system, Yildiz has been part of the Juventus setup for the past three years. He has already made history in Turin, becoming the club’s youngest ever goalscorer in the UEFA Champions League, surpassing a long-standing record held by Alessandro Del Piero.
