1. FC Heidenheim - Borussia D 0:2

Borussia Dortmund took full advantage of an early red card to secure a composed 2–0 away win over Heidenheim in Matchday 3 of the Bundesliga season.

The hosts were reduced to ten men in the 22nd minute when Zivzivadze was shown a straight red card, making life significantly easier for the visiting Black and Yellows.

Serhou Guirassy opened the scoring in the 34th minute, continuing his remarkable form by netting in his eighth consecutive Bundesliga match. That streak puts him just behind Robert Lewandowski and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the all-time scoring run charts.

Beier doubled Dortmund’s lead deep into first-half stoppage time, scoring in the 6th minute of added time to effectively seal the result before the break.
