Genoa suffered a heartbreaking 2-1 defeat away to Bologna in Matchday 4 of the Serie A season, with the match decided by a stoppage-time penalty at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara.

Ukrainian international Ruslan Malinovskyi was in the starting XI and made an impact early in the second half. In the 63rd minute, the midfielder delivered a sharp assist to , who slotted home the opener for Genoa. Just five minutes later, Malinovskyi was subbed off — and from that point on, the visitors lost their grip on the game.
