Inter - Sassuolo 2:1

Inter Milan returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Sassuolo at the San Siro, but the Nerazzurri still have work to do in catching up with the Serie A frontrunners.

The hosts struck first in the 14th minute through Federico Dimarco, who fired home after a well-worked build-up. Sassuolo had their chances to respond, with Bernard, Marcus Thuram, and Francesco Esposito all threatening, but they couldn’t find the breakthrough before the break.

Shortly after the restart, Carlos Augusto doubled Inter’s lead with a deflected strike that looped in off Muharemovic, leaving the Sassuolo keeper stranded. The visitors fought back late on, and Rani Khedira pulled one back in the dying minutes, but Inter held on for all three points.
