Aston Villa - Fulham 3:1

Aston Villa finally recorded their first win of the 2025/26 Premier League season, coming from behind to defeat Fulham 3-1 at Villa Park in Matchweek 6.

It was a nervy start for Unai Emery’s side, as Raúl Jiménez struck early for the visitors in the 4th minute. But the hosts responded with character and composure. Just before the break, Ollie Watkins levelled the score with a clinical finish, setting the stage for a dominant second-half display.

Within the opening five minutes after the restart, John McGinn and Emiliano Buendía found the net in quick succession — two goals in two minutes — to complete a stunning turnaround for the Birmingham side.

The 3-1 win lifts Aston Villa to 16th place in the Premier League table, giving Emery and his squad a much-needed morale boost after a difficult start to the campaign.
