Aït-Nouri, Abdukodir Khusanov, and Omar Marmoush are all still out

Manchester City have received a major boost ahead of Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League showdown against AS Monaco, with key midfielder Rodri returning to full training.

The Spanish international completed the full session with the squad and is expected to be available for selection as Pep Guardiola’s side look to build on their opening win in Group A.

There’s also positive news concerning French forward Rayan Cherki, who has recovered from injury and trained without restrictions ahead of the trip to France.

However, City will travel without three players, who remain sidelined: Rayan Aït-Nouri, Abdukodir Khusanov, and Omar Marmoush are all still out and did not take part in Tuesday’s final training session.

Manchester City began their Champions League campaign in strong fashion with a 2–0 win over Napoli, while Monaco were on the receiving end of a heavy 1–4 defeat to Club Brugge.
