Borussia D - RB Leipzig 1:1

Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig both lost ground in the chase for Bayern Munich after playing out a 1–1 draw in one of the most anticipated fixtures of the Bundesliga weekend.

In a match that pitted second against third, it was Christoph Baumgartner who gave the visitors the perfect start, finishing off a cleverly worked free-kick routine in the 7th minute with a close-range strike.

But the lead didn’t last long. Just 15 minutes later, Dortmund hit back — and in chaotic fashion. A hopeful lofted ball into the box from the left was met with a series of misjudged clearances by Leipzig's defence. The ball eventually found its way to Igor Couto, who calmly slotted home the equaliser.

Despite both sides showing flashes of quality, neither could find a winner — and the 1–1 result does little to aid their title ambitions. For Bayern Munich, watching from the top of the table, it was arguably the perfect outcome.
