Manchester City - Everton 2:0

Manchester City returned to the summit of the Premier League with a composed 2-0 victory over Everton at the Etihad Stadium in Matchweek 7.

The match was finely balanced until early in the second half, when Erling Haaland showed exactly why he’s one of the deadliest strikers in world football. The Norwegian scored twice in the space of five minutes — a ruthless double that broke the resistance of Liverpool side and effectively sealed the three points for the reigning champions.

Vitalii Mykolenko started for Everton and played the full 90 minutes, but couldn’t prevent his team from falling to their fourth defeat of the season.
