Raphinha and Ferran Torres set to miss Olympiacos clash
Barcelona held their final training session ahead of Tuesday’s UEFA Champions League clash with Olympiacos, but head coach Hansi Flick continues to face major injury concerns.
Both Raphinha and Ferran Torres were absent from Monday’s session and are unlikely to feature in the upcoming match. Meanwhile, Robert Lewandowski and Dani Olmo remain in the treatment room as they recover from longer-term injuries.
To make matters worse, Andreas Christensen was forced to leave the training early after feeling unwell, adding another worry for Flick’s already depleted squad.
With several key players sidelined, Flick is expected to rely on Fermín López and Marcus Rashford, both of whom played key roles in recent matches. The German coach reportedly tested several tactical variations involving the pair during training.
Barcelona currently sit on three points after two matches - a defeat to PSG followed by a win over Newcastle - and will be looking to build momentum in their campaign when they face Olympiacos in Piraeus.
