Frankfurt - Liverpool 1:5

Liverpool produced a dominant display to crush Eintracht Frankfurt 5–1 in the UEFA Champions League, bouncing back in emphatic fashion after a frustrating run of four straight defeats in all competitions.

The hosts briefly threatened an upset when Victor Kristensen opened the scoring early on, but from that point onward it was all about Jürgen Klopp’s men. Former Frankfurt forward Hugo Ekitike levelled the game with a composed finish after a clever assist from Andy Robertson, netting against his old club.

Set pieces then proved decisive as Liverpool took full control before the interval. Captain Virgil van Dijk powered home a trademark header from a corner, and centre-back partner Ibrahima Konaté added another soon after to make it 3–1 before half-time.

After the break, the Reds didn’t let up. Cody Gakpo converted a precise cross from Florian Wirtz to extend the lead, before Dominik Szoboszlai sealed the rout with a stunning long-range strike to cap off a commanding performance.
