The 66-year-old Italian replaces Igor Tudor

Luciano Spalletti has been officially unveiled as the new head coach of Juventus. The 66-year-old Italian replaces Igor Tudor, who was dismissed earlier this week, and has signed a deal running until the end of the season.

According to reports from the Italian press, the agreement includes an automatic one-year extension if the team secures qualification for the UEFA Champions League. This marks another major chapter in Spalletti’s illustrious coaching career, which has seen him lead some of Europe’s biggest clubs.

Spalletti most recently managed the Italy national team, but stepped down following a 0–3 defeat to Norway in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. Before his stint with the Azzurri, he built a remarkable résumé with clubs such as Empoli, AS Roma, Inter Milan, Napoli, and Zenit St. Petersburg—where he won the Russian Premier League twice.

In 2023, Spalletti guided Napoli to their first Serie A title in over three decades.
