Arsenal Lose Key Defender

Gabriel Magalhães has suffered a right hip injury during Brazil’s 2–0 friendly win over Senegal. According to a report by the BBC, the Arsenal centre-back is expected to be sidelined for at least four weeks.
The injury means the Brazilian will miss several crucial fixtures, including the Premier League clashes against Tottenham and Chelsea, as well as a highly anticipated UEFA Champions League encounter with Bayern Munich. It’s a significant blow for the Gunners, especially considering that Gabriel has featured in every single Premier League match for Arsenal this season.
In his absence, the competition to partner William Saliba at the heart of the defence is wide open. New signing Piero Hincapié and promising defender Kristian Mosquera are reportedly the leading candidates to step in during this challenging stretch.
