RB Leipzig - Werder 2:0

RB Leipzig strengthened their title ambitions with a solid 2–0 victory over Werder Bremen in Matchweek 11 of the Bundesliga, a result that lifted the hosts into second place in the standings.

Werder held firm for more than an hour, but Leipzig’s pressure eventually broke through. In the 63rd minute, young midfielder Assan Ouédraogo finished off a well-timed assist from Ridle Baku to put Leipzig ahead. The hosts controlled the tempo from that moment on, and in the 80th minute Nicolas Seiwald — stepping into the role usually occupied by the injured Xaver Schlager — delivered the decisive second goal, sealing a deserved win.

The victory pushes Leipzig above Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund into second place, though the gap to league leaders Bayern Munich remains significant at six points. Still, Leipzig’s upward momentum suggests the title race is far from over.
