Blow for Arsenal: Kimmich and Gnabry Expected to Be Fit for Wednesday

Two of the Champions League’s early frontrunners go head-to-head on Wednesday as Bayern Munich travel to London to face Arsenal. Both sides boast a 100% record after four group-stage matches, but the fitness situation is tilting strongly in favour of the German champions.
While Arsenal are dealing with a string of injury concerns, Bayern have managed to resolve most of theirs ahead of the crucial clash.
It is expected that Serge Gnabry will recover full match fitness in time and could even be named in the starting XI.
Another key figure, Joshua Kimmich, had been considered a doubt after suffering an ankle injury on international duty. However, speaking to the media, the midfield playmaker confirmed that he is “feeling better”, and is likely to feature — potentially playing with a supportive strapped bandage.
Unlike Gnabry and Kimmich, who both missed Bayern’s most recent Bundesliga fixture, Manuel Neuer has already returned to action following illness and played at the weekend.
For Arsenal, the timing could hardly be worse. With depth concerns mounting, they will now face a near full-strength Bayern in what promises to be one of the standout fixtures of the round.
