Courtois Sidelined Again - This Time with Stomach Virus

Thibaut Courtois has been ruled out of Real Madrid’s upcoming UEFA Champions League clash against Olympiacos due to fresh health concerns — and not the usual injury-related setback.
According to the club’s official statement, the 33-year-old Belgian goalkeeper has been diagnosed with a gastrointestinal viral infection. The condition is serious enough that he did not travel with the squad to Greece, remaining in Madrid to undergo treatment.
As a result, Andriy Lunin is expected to start between the posts, stepping in as Real Madrid’s No.2 goalkeeper. Should he be selected, it would mark the Ukrainian’s first appearance of the season since Xabi Alonso took over. Initially, his debut was projected for December in the Copa del Rey, but circumstances could accelerate that timeline.
