Genoa climb out of the relegation zone as Malinovskyi helps secure key win over Verona

After 239 long days without a home victory, Genoa finally reignited their flame at the iconic Marassi. Since the arrival of head coach Daniele De Rossi, the team has shown clear signs of revival — three unbeaten matches and now a crucial 2–1 win over Hellas Verona that lifts the Grifoni out of the Serie A danger zone.
The night didn’t start well for the hosts: Michael Beleck opened the scoring for Verona in the 21st minute, putting Genoa under early pressure. But the response was swift and full of character.
Second-half goals from Lorenzo Colombo and Morten Thorsby completely turned the game around, sending the Marassi into celebration. Ukrainian midfielder Ruslan Malinovskyi nearly added a third with a trademark free-kick — his powerful strike demanded a save, but his name ultimately stayed off the scoresheet.
