Newcastle Thrash Everton to Finally Claim First Away Win of the Season

Newcastle United ended their long and frustrating wait for an away victory, dismantling Everton 4–1 at Goodison Park — a night to forget for the hosts and a perfectly timed gift for Eddie Howe on his 48th birthday.
The tone was set almost instantly. After just 52 seconds, Tino Livramento’s pressing forced chaos in the Everton box, and Malick Thiaw pounced to open the scoring. Moments later, young midfielder Lewis Miley doubled the lead, capitalising on a sloppy error from Jordan Pickford that left Goodison stunned.
Before half-time, Wouter Veltman added a third, finishing off another sweeping Newcastle attack. And early in the second half, Thiaw completed his brace to make it 4–0, sealing the contest long before the final whistle.
Everton managed only a consolation goal through Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, but it did little to change the mood as the Toffees slipped to 14th in the table. Newcastle, meanwhile, climb to 11th and finally celebrate the away points they had been chasing since September.
