Union Berlin - Bayern 2:3

Bayern Munich advanced to the quarter-finals of the DFB-Pokal, but not without a major scare. The visitors started brightly, capitalizing on Union Berlin’s errors to build a comfortable 3–1 lead by half-time. Yet the Berliners refused to roll over, showing increased aggression and challenging the champions relentlessly after the break.

The hosts racked up an impressive 18 shots, converting both of their penalties, and consistently pressured Bayern. Despite their efforts, they were unable to turn that momentum into a full comeback. Two own goals weighed heavily against Union, and while Bayern lost some control after the 40th minute, they held on for a hard-fought 3–2 victory, securing their place in the quarter-finals.
