Barca secured a vital home victory

Barcelona secured a vital home victory, beating Eintracht Frankfurt 2–1 thanks to an unexpected brace from defender Jules Koundé. The first half offered little inspiration from the Catalan side: they dominated possession, but produced almost no cutting-edge moments. Frankfurt, meanwhile, needed only one accurate strike — and on 21 minutes, Ansgar Knauff stunned the Camp Nou with the opener.

After the break, Barcelona shifted gears and began to play with far more urgency. That’s when Koundé transformed from quiet defender to match-winning hero. First, he rose highest to meet a set-piece delivery and powered home the equaliser. Moments later, he repeated the feat, directing another header into the near corner to complete his remarkable double.
