PSV Eindhoven - Atletico Madrid 2:3

Atletico Madrid claimed a hard-fought 3–2 victory over PSV Eindhoven at the Metropolitano, overcoming a shaky start to secure three crucial points. The evening began poorly for Diego Simeone’s side: in just the 10th minute, Guus Til capitalised on a defensive lapse to put the Dutch visitors in front.

The hosts eventually found their rhythm late in the first half. After intercepting a misplaced PSV pass, Atletico launched a quick transition and clinically levelled the score — a much-needed response before the break.

After half-time, a more recognisable, relentless version of Simeone’s Atletico emerged. Pablo Barrios Gánzkó pounced on a rebound following a save by Walter Benítez to give the home side the lead, and moments later Alexander Sørloth extended the advantage with a precise header.
