Napoli outclass Bologna to lift the Italian Super Cup

Napoli delivered a commanding performance to defeat Bologna 2–0 in the final of the Italian Super Cup, staged in Riyadh, sealing the trophy with authority and style. From the opening minutes, Antonio Conte’s side imposed themselves on the game, ruthlessly exploiting defensive mistakes and controlling the tempo.
The standout figure on the night was David Neres. The Brazilian winger broke the deadlock with a stunning long-range strike, curling the ball into the top corner to leave the crowd breathless. After the break, he doubled his tally — and Napoli’s advantage — by capitalising on a misplaced pass from goalkeeper Lukasz Skorupski Ravaglia, calmly finishing to complete a decisive brace.
Bologna struggled to find rhythm or intensity and rarely threatened. Their only genuine moment of danger came from a long-range effort by Lewis Ferguson, which briefly tested the Napoli defence but failed to change the momentum of the contest.
The scoreline could have been even more emphatic. Late chances fell to Rasmus Højlund and Matteo Politano, but both were unable to convert, sparing Bologna from a heavier defeat. Still, the missed opportunities did little to detract from Napoli’s overall dominance.
Despite some wastefulness in the final third, Napoli comfortably secured the Italian Super Cup for the third time in their history.
