Como 1907 - Torino 6:0

Como delivered one of the most eye-catching performances of the Serie A season, demolishing Torino 6–0 at home in a ruthless display of attacking football. The side coached by Cesc Fabregas showed no mercy, capitalising on a catalogue of defensive errors and, for a brief moment, even moving ahead of Juventus in the league standings.

For Marco Baroni, it was a night to forget. The defeat marked a fourth consecutive loss and further underlined Torino’s growing problems at the back. With 40 goals conceded this season, they now boast the weakest defence in the division — a statistic that raises serious alarm bells.

The contest was effectively decided in the opening stages. Como set a blistering tempo from kick-off, while Torino looked disorganised, struggling with concentration and positional discipline almost immediately.

It took the hosts just nine minutes to break the deadlock. A sharp attacking move was clinically finished by Georgios Douvikas, who made no mistake in front of goal. Six minutes later, the same defensive fragility was exposed again. Space opened up through the middle, allowing Martin Baturina time to shift the ball onto his stronger foot and curl a precise effort into the corner to make it 2–0.

The pattern of the game did not change after the interval. On 54 minutes, the referee pointed to the spot following a VAR review for handball by Guillermo Maripan. Lucas Da Cunha stepped up and calmly converted the penalty, extending the lead to 3–0.

From that moment on, Como were in complete control. Douvikas grabbed his second of the night after yet another costly mistake in the Torino back line, before substitute Kuhn made an instant impact, scoring a spectacular fifth goal less than two minutes after coming on.

The rout was completed by Kakre, who added the sixth to spark rapturous applause around the stadium.
