Chelsea Terminate Raheem Sterling’s Contract by Mutual Consent

Chelsea have officially parted ways with winger Raheem Sterling, with the club confirming that the player’s contract has been terminated by mutual consent.
The England international joined Chelsea in July 2022 from Manchester City in a deal worth €56.2 million, arriving at Stamford Bridge with huge expectations after a trophy-laden spell under Pep Guardiola. However, his time in west London ultimately failed to deliver the impact many anticipated.
Notably, Sterling did not make a single appearance for Chelsea during the current season, underlining how far he had fallen out of the club’s plans.
According to Sky Sports, Raheem Sterling is now attracting interest from Napoli, one of several clubs monitoring his situation. The Serie A side are managed by former Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte, who has already opened discussions regarding a potential move.
Despite the interest from Italy, Sterling would prefer to remain in London, with Fulham identified as his ideal destination. However, the Premier League side are currently not interested in pursuing a deal for the winger.
