Europe’s longest run: Milan unbeaten in 22 straight matches

AC Milan extended their remarkable run on Tuesday night with a 3–0 victory over Bologna, taking the Rossoneri to 22 consecutive matches without defeat. As things stand, Milan boast the longest unbeaten streak in Europe.
That run, however, still has a long way to go before matching the club’s historic benchmarks. During the 1992–93 season, Fabio Capello’s Milan went 42 games unbeaten in all competitions, while their legendary Serie A streak stretched to 58 matches without defeat.
Unsurprisingly, head coach Massimiliano Allegri believes there is room for further improvement. “It was a good performance today, but in my view we need to control the ball better. We played well thanks to Nkunku and Loftus-Cheek, who allowed us to keep possession and gave us depth in the squad,” the Italian coach said.
