Fourth manager of the season for Forest

Nottingham Forest have confirmed the dismissal of Sean Dyche as head coach, barely three months after appointing him in October. Dyche replaced Ange Postecoglou, who had endured a turbulent spell following the departure of Nuno Espirito Santo.

Although Dyche signed a contract running until the summer of 2027, a run of three Premier League matches without a win — including a goalless draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers yesterday — proved decisive. Forest opted to act after just 114 days at the helm.

According to the BBC, the decision means Forest are set to become the first club in Premier League history to have employed four different permanent managers within a single season — a remarkable statistic that underlines the instability at the City Ground.

Forest have already been eliminated from both domestic cup competitions and now turn their attention to the Europa League, where they face Fenerbahce in a play-off tie for a place in the last 16.
