Inter - Genoa 2:0

Inter Milan delivered the perfect response to their recent UEFA Champions League disappointment, securing a confident 2–0 victory over Genoa to further tighten their grip at the top of Serie A.

The defining moment of the contest came courtesy of Federico Dimarco, whose stunning strike lit up the San Siro. After a slick one-two with Henrikh Mkhitaryan, the Italian wing-back unleashed a sensational first-time effort from the tightest of angles, rifling the ball into the roof of the net.

Inter doubled their advantage after the break in more controversial circumstances. Substitute Alex Amorim, who had replaced Ruslan Malinovskyi, handled inside the penalty area, leaving the referee with little choice but to point to the spot. On came Hakan Çalhanoğlu, calm as ever, dispatching the penalty with trademark assurance to put the result beyond doubt.
