Arsenal defeat Everton as teenage sensation Max Dowman makes Premier League history

Arsenal took another significant step towards the Premier League title with a 2–0 victory over Everton at the Emirates Stadium. The night, however, belonged to a new rising star — 16-year-old Max Dowman, who produced a remarkable cameo to write his name into the history books.
The teenage substitute first made his impact in the 89th minute, delivering a perfectly timed assist for Viktor Gyökeres to break the deadlock. Moments later, Max Dowman crowned a dream debut by scoring himself, becoming the youngest goalscorer in Premier League history and sending the Emirates crowd into raptures.
For much of the evening, though, Arsenal struggled to break down a disciplined Everton side. The visitors, with Ukrainian defender Vitaliy Mykolenko playing the full match, held firm and even threatened an upset. Dwight McNeil rattled the post with a powerful effort, while David Raya had to produce a crucial save to deny Beto during one of Everton’s most dangerous attacks.
Ultimately, the tactical adjustments from Mikel Arteta proved decisive. The substitutes changed the tempo of the game and tilted the balance in Arsenal’s favour during the closing stages.
