Chelsea - PSG 0:3

Paris Saint-Germain may well have won this tie before a ball was even kicked. The decision to reschedule their domestic clash with Nantes gave the Parisians crucial time to prepare, while Chelsea were forced into a bruising Premier League battle against Newcastle United—a match that not only drained energy but also cost them key defensive personnel.

By the time Liam Rosenior named his starting XI for the return leg, the damage was already looming. With Malo Gusto unavailable, Mamadou Sarr was handed a starting role—and was punished almost instantly. A seemingly routine long ball from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia turned into chaos for the London side. Despite appearing first to the ball, Sarr was outmuscled by the Georgian, who coolly slotted home from inside the box in just the sixth minute.

Still riding pre-match adrenaline, Chelsea pushed forward in search of a response—but walked straight into another trap. PSG broke with ruthless efficiency: Achraf Hakimi surged down the right flank and delivered a precise pass to the edge of the area, where Bradley Barcola unleashed an unstoppable strike into the top corner.

At 2–0 after just 14 minutes, the contest was effectively over. What followed felt like little more than a formality—75 minutes of frustration for the hosts, who struggled to create anything meaningful and instead resorted to physicality. Barcola was among those on the receiving end, but chances remained scarce.

The substitutions from Liam Rosenior shortly after the hour mark only reinforced the sense of resignation. Key players were withdrawn, and the move felt like a white flag. Even against a rotated PSG side, Chelsea found no answers.

Another turnover, this time orchestrated by Vitinha, allowed Kvaratskhelia to surge into the penalty area once more. His pass found Hakimi, whose effort was blocked—but Senny Mayulu reacted quickest to finish the move and complete the rout. It marked another standout contribution from Kvaratskhelia, who once again delivered decisive attacking output.

The final whistle confirmed a dominant 3–0 victory on the night and an emphatic 8–2 aggregate triumph for Paris Saint-Germain. Inside Stamford Bridge, the mood turned sombre, with sections of the crowd audibly chanting their farewells to Rosenior.
