Wolverhampton - Tottenham 0:1

Tottenham Hotspur finally brought an end to their nightmare run, claiming a long-awaited victory in the Premier League after going winless throughout the second half of the 2025/26 season. Roberto De Zerbi’s side edged past Wolverhampton Wanderers away from home, boosting their hopes of survival in England’s top flight.

Despite facing the league’s bottom side, this was far from a straightforward outing for Spurs. The breakthrough came late — and in dramatic fashion. In the 82nd minute, João Palhinha found himself unmarked at the far post and calmly converted a precise delivery from Richarlison, finally giving Tottenham the lead.

Wolverhampton pushed forward in the dying moments and came agonisingly close to snatching a point. A stunning free-kick seemed destined for the top corner, only for Antonín Kinský to produce a brilliant, match-saving stop — tipping the ball away in the final seconds to secure all three points for the visitors.
