Lecce - Juventus 0:1

Dusan Vlahovic needed just 12 seconds to make the difference as Juventus edged past Lecce in a tense Serie A encounter, keeping alive the Turin giants’ push for a top-four finish.

The Serbian striker stunned the home crowd almost immediately after kick-off. Meeting a precise delivery from Andrea Cambiaso, Vlahovic controlled the ball brilliantly before squeezing his finish through a crowd of three defenders and into the net. It proved to be the decisive moment of the match.

Juventus thought they had added to their advantage on two further occasions, but both goals were ruled out for offside. Despite the narrow scoreline, the visitors created enough chances to put the game beyond doubt.

Lecce, wearing special shirts to mark Mother’s Day, refused to back down and produced a spirited response in front of their supporters. Hamza Rafia Khedira and Santiago Pierotti repeatedly tested Michele Di Gregorio, forcing the Juventus goalkeeper into a series of impressive saves.

At the other end, Francisco Conceicao struck the post, while Wladimiro Falcone kept the hosts in the contest with several crucial late interventions. The Bianconeri also had to cope with an injury setback after Danilo Veiga was forced off.

The closing stages saw Lecce throw everything forward in search of an equaliser, but Juventus showed resilience under pressure and held firm to secure a valuable away victory.
