Lazio - Inter 0:2

Inter capped off a remarkable campaign by securing a domestic double, adding the Coppa Italia to their already-celebrated Serie A title after a confident 2-0 victory against Lazio at the iconic Stadio Olimpico.

With returning support from the Lazio faithful creating a fierce atmosphere in Rome, the final still belonged to Inter, who looked sharper, stronger and far more composed throughout the contest.

The breakthrough came from a moment of misfortune for Adam Marusic. Under pressure from an inswinging corner delivered by Federico Dimarco, the defender turned the ball into his own net, handing the Nerazzurri an early advantage.

Lazio attempted to respond and briefly grew into the match, but Cristian Chivu’s side struck again before half-time. Lautaro Martinez doubled the lead with a clinical finish after an excellent delivery from Denzel Dumfries, silencing the home crowd and putting Inter firmly in control.

The Roman side pushed forward after the interval and created several dangerous moments, yet Alessandro Bastoni produced a defensive masterclass alongside goalkeeper Josep Martinez, denying Boulaye Dia and preserving Inter’s clean sheet.

The closing stages were played at high intensity, with Lazio desperately searching for a route back into the final. However, Inter managed the game expertly and saw out the victory without major scares.
