Carlo Ancelotti has signed a new long-term contract with the Brazil national team

Carlo Ancelotti has signed a new long-term contract with the Brazil national team, extending his stay with the five-time world champions until 2030 in a major show of faith from the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF).

The announcement comes just one month before the start of the upcoming FIFA World Cup, removing any immediate pressure surrounding the Italian manager’s future and reinforcing Brazil’s long-term project under one of football’s most decorated coaches.

Ancelotti took charge of the Seleção in May 2025 following his departure from Real Madrid, ending years of speculation linking him with the most successful national team in football history. Since arriving in South America, the former AC Milan, Chelsea and Bayern Munich boss has focused on rebuilding confidence and restoring consistency within the squad.

“I arrived in Brazil a year ago,” Ancelotti said in an official statement. “From the very first moment, I understood the importance of football in this country. We have worked tirelessly to return the national team to the top of world football. But both the federation and I want to go even further — more victories, more time, more work.”

During his first year in charge, Carlo Ancelotti has overseen 10 matches and gradually reshaped the team ahead of a new World Cup cycle. The extension now guarantees the Italian tactician the opportunity to lead Brazil through an entire long-term rebuilding process and into the 2030 tournament.
