Official: Julian Nagelsmann Leaves Germany Head Coach Role

Julian Nagelsmann has officially stepped down as head coach of Germany following the team's disappointing Round of 32 exit at the FIFA World Cup, where the Bundesmannschaft were eliminated by Paraguay in a penalty shootout.
The 38-year-old took charge of Germany on 22 September 2023 and oversaw the national team at both UEFA Euro 2024 and the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Despite periods of encouraging progress, the early World Cup elimination ultimately proved decisive.
During his tenure, Nagelsmann led Germany in 37 matches, recording 23 victories, seven draws and seven defeats.
Speaking after the tournament, Julian Nagelsmann made it clear that he wanted to continue in the role. However, the German Football Association (DFB) decided to bring his tenure to an end, opening a new chapter for the Bundesmannschaft.
