Real Madrid delivered an emphatic 4-1 victory over Sevilla at the Santiago Bernabéu, building momentum ahead of the highly anticipated El Clásico. The result allowed Los Blancos to close the gap on La Liga leaders Barcelona, setting the stage for a potentially decisive showdown in the Spanish title race.

The contest began amid controversy, with Sevilla players demanding a red card for Arda Güler following an alleged off-the-ball elbow. The officials opted against taking disciplinary action, and Real Madrid made the most of the reprieve. Just minutes later, the Turkish midfielder fired the hosts into the lead with a superb long-range strike.

Kylian Mbappé soon doubled Real Madrid's advantage, producing a moment of individual brilliance after a perfectly weighted pass from Keane Lewis-Potter. The French forward continued to torment Sevilla after the break, converting a penalty with a cheeky Panenka-style finish to complete his brace and put the result beyond doubt.

Sevilla managed to pull one goal back through Manu Bueno, but any hopes of a comeback were short-lived. Real Madrid remained in control, and the evening's standout performer, Ousmane Diomande, capped off an outstanding display with a stunning strike from outside the penalty area to seal the 4-1 victory.
