33-year-old Ukrainian defender Yaroslav Rakitskyi moves to Shakhtar as a free agent. Contract with the player lasts until the end of the season.

We remind that Rakitskyi is a Shakhtar graduate. He has played for the first team of the Orange-and-Blacks from 2009 to 2019, making 326 appearances, scoring 14 goals and winning 19 trophies together with them.

In the spring of 2022, Yaroslav joined the Miners to participate in charity matches as a part of the Shakhtar Global Tour for Peace. Rakitskyi spent the first part of the 2023/23 season at Adana Demirspor from Turkey.
