Vice-champion of Ukraine Dnipro-1 failed its first match in the Champions League qualifying, losing to Panathinaikos - 1:3.

Šporar, Djuricic and Ioannidis were the goalscorers from the Greek side and the only goal by UPL side was scored by Volodymyr Tanchyk at the 90th minute of the game.
