Piastri won the Grand Prix in Baku

McLaren driver Oscar Piastri won the 2024 Azerbaijan Grand Prix. The Australian managed to ende the series of failures of his team in Baku. Before that McLaren did not have a single podiums in Azerbaijan.

The main spectacle of the race was a duel between Piastri and Leclerc. Having lost the lead, Charles desperately pressed the young competitor, continuously pushing his car, however Oscar didn't make a single mistake.

In the showdown for third place Sainz and Perez collided on the penultimate lap, thus giving the last podium place to Mercedes' George Russell.

Lando Norris became another hero of the race - he started from 15th place, but eventually managed to beat Max Verstappen at the end of the race and finished fourth.

In the Constructors' Championship everything is as tight as possible: McLaren is now first with 476 points, Red Bull is second with 456, Ferrari has 425.
