Verstappen strikes back: Formula-1 champion takes pole in Qatar
Max Verstappen snatched victory in qualifying for the Qatar Grand Prix and will start from front row in a Formula-1 race for the first time since June.
The main rival of the world champion today was Mercedes driver George Russell. Both fought for victory until the last attempts in qualifying, and the Dutchman in the end was ahead of the Englishman only by 0.055 seconds, showing the best result at the very end of the third segment.
Third and fourth were Mclaren's drivers, who tomorrow will fight with Ferrari for the points in the Constructors Championship.
It is also worth noting the return to the top 10 of Sergio Perez - the Mexican will start tomorrow's race in ninth place.
